Do I have to pay duties and taxes on an international order?

Quick answer

For orders shipped outside Canada, customs duties and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility and are collected by the carrier on delivery. For US customers, jewellery is generally duty-free under USMCA when accompanied by a Canadian certificate of origin, which we include.

What to do

  1. At checkout, confirm your country and review the estimated shipping cost.
  2. Expect a separate invoice from the carrier (FedEx or Purolator International) for any duties and taxes due.
  3. US customers: most fine jewellery qualifies for duty-free treatment under USMCA.
  4. If duties seem incorrect, save the carrier invoice and contact us — we can help dispute it with the carrier.

What to have ready

  • Order number
  • Carrier invoice for duties/taxes
  • Country of delivery
