How do I request access to my data or have it deleted?

Your rights

Under Law 25 (the Quebec Act to modernize legislative provisions respecting the protection of personal information), you can:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and your data
  • Withdraw consent to processing at any time
  • File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec

How to submit a request

Email info@bjamil.com with:

  • Your full name
  • The email address tied to your account
  • The type of request (access, correction, deletion)
  • A piece of ID (driver's licence or passport) for verification — we destroy it after verification

What can be deleted

  • Customer profile (name, address, phone, email)
  • Browsing history and marketing preferences
  • Customer service tickets

What we must keep

Some information must be retained to comply with other laws:

  • Invoices and receipts: 6 years (Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec requirement)
  • Cash4Gold transactions: as required by the Quebec Pawnbrokers Act and municipal regulations
  • Active warranties: for the duration of the warranty

Processing timeline

We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and complete the request within the 30 days required by Law 25. If we need more time, we'll notify you with a written justification.
