I see a duplicate charge on my card

Quick answer

Don't worry — in most cases, only one charge will actually settle. When a payment fails or is retried at checkout, your bank often shows a temporary "authorization hold" that looks identical to the real charge. These holds usually drop off in 3 to 7 business days. If two real charges settle, we refund the duplicate immediately.

How to tell what you're looking at

  • Pending / authorization hold — appears in your transaction list but hasn't cleared. These disappear on their own.
  • Settled / posted charge — fully processed. If you see two of these for the same order, contact us.
  • One settled + one pending — almost always resolves to a single charge once the pending one expires.

What to do

  1. Wait until the next business day and check whether the duplicate is still showing.
  2. Look at the order confirmation email — you should only have one order number.
  3. If two real charges have posted (not pending), contact us with the details below.
  4. We'll verify with our payment processor and issue a refund within 1–2 business days. The refund hits your card in 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

What to have ready

  • Your order number
  • Last 4 digits of the card
  • Date and amount of each charge
  • A screenshot of your card statement (mask the full card number)
