Can you explain a part of your return policy?

Quick answer

Yes — write to support@bjamil.com with the specific paragraph or term you'd like clarified, and we'll explain it in plain language within 1 business day. We'd rather over-explain than have a customer misread the policy.

Quick reference: the headline rules

  • 14 days to return in-stock items from delivery
  • 30 days to exchange for store credit
  • Custom and engraved: not returnable except for defects
  • Worn or altered: not returnable
  • Final sale: not returnable
  • Refund time: 5–10 business days after inspection
  • Original packaging and certificates required for any return
  • Insurance to full value required on all return shipments
  • Gift returns: store credit only

Common things we get asked to clarify

  • "What does unworn mean?" — Worn = polished, sized, scratched, body oils, perfume residue, or any visible sign it left the box. We're not strict, but a piece that looks new must actually look new.
  • "What if my certificate is missing?" — Tell us upfront. Some certs (GIA) can be retrieved from the lab archive at a fee, others can't. We may reduce the refund by the cert replacement cost.
  • "Does the warranty replace the return?" — No. Warranty covers manufacturing defects forever. Returns cover change of mind within 14 days. Different things.
  • "Can I return after 14 days?" — Only at our discretion, case by case, usually for store credit only, never for cash refund.

How to ask

  1. Quote the policy text or term you want explained
  2. Tell us your situation (order #, what you want to do)
  3. Email to support@bjamil.com
  4. We reply within 1 business day in plain language

What to have ready

  • Order number (if relevant)
  • The policy text you have a question about
  • A short description of your situation
