Quick answer

Place the piece in its original Bijouterie Jamil box with the pouch, certificates and any tags. Put that box inside a sturdy outer carton with padding. Never write "jewellery" or "diamond" on the outside. Insure the package for its full value.

Step by step

1. Inspect the piece — make sure it's clean, unworn and exactly as you received it
2. Place it in the original jewellery box with the cushion or pouch
3. Include everything: GIA/IGI certificate, appraisal, warranty card, care card, branded pouch, polishing cloth — any missing item can affect your refund
4. Wrap the jewellery box in tissue or bubble wrap
5. Use a plain outer carton at least 2 cm larger than the inner box on each side
6. Fill empty space with packing paper so nothing shifts
7. Seal with strong tape and label only with our return address and your RA number
8. Insure the shipment for the full retail value (the carrier counter will ask)

What to have ready

• Original packaging and all paperwork

• Return Authorization (RA) number from our email
• Insurance receipt

Don'ts

• Don't write "diamond", "gold" or "jewellery" anywhere on the outside
• Don't ship in a padded envelope
• Don't drop in a mailbox — always hand to a counter agent
