Apple Pay or Google Pay isn't working

Quick answer

Digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay) only appear on supported devices and browsers, and they need a verified card already loaded in the wallet. If the button doesn't show up or fails, try a different browser, switch to credit card directly, or use Interac e-Transfer.

Why a wallet might fail

  • Unsupported browser — Apple Pay needs Safari on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Google Pay works in Chrome and most Android devices.
  • No card loaded — your wallet needs at least one verified card
  • Card declined inside the wallet — same issue as a regular card decline (see payment declined)
  • Country mismatch — some wallet cards are restricted from international or Canadian merchants
  • Page session expired — refresh and try again

What to try

  1. Refresh the page and confirm the wallet button is visible.
  2. Open your wallet app and confirm your default card is active and not expired.
  3. If it still fails, switch to entering the credit card directly in our checkout form.
  4. Try a different network — sometimes a corporate or public Wi-Fi blocks the wallet handshake.

What to have ready

  • Order number or cart items
  • Screenshot of the error
  • Device and browser (e.g., "iPhone 15, Safari")
  • Last 4 digits of the card in the wallet
